The IDM foam compression tester is used to determine the deflection force of flexible cellular polyurethane The ILD or IFD of flexible cellular polyurethanes is a common test according to the international ASTM, ISO, AS, BS standards.
This instrument offers a variety of software features that allow programming of many parameters using the Universal Tester program developed by IDM Instruments Pty Ltd®. This software package allows the user to perform a variety of tests with an almost unlimited array of test parameters and display the test information when used with a compatible PC. Test configurations are prepared for each test type.
Both the test scripts and the operating parameters are entered into the configuration panel to perform a test. Values including test type, specimen, specimen size, standard reference and many more can be entered and saved for recall at a later time.
